In a report released by Sotheby’s International Realty Canada on March 3, 2016, real estate prices on single family homes is expected to continue to rise in the Vancouver and Toronto markets. The first two months of 2016 saw prices of homes increase by 23 percent over 2015 in Vancouver. The report goes on to say, “Toronto and Vancouver will continue to lead luxury home sales in Canada this spring in both volume and price, and mostly for the same reasons they dominated last year” which cites macro-economic trends including limited inventory and strong demand from buyers.
